This year’s New York State Blues Festival featured more than just world-class performances — it showcased the power of music to give back. Legendary guitarist Warren Haynes teamed up with Gibson Gives, the charitable arm of Gibson Guitars, for a special fundraiser benefiting our Blues Ignition student band program.
Fans had the rare opportunity to participate in an exclusive meet-and-greet with Haynes and get up close with his signature Gibson Warren Haynes model guitar. The event drew music lovers from across the region, with all proceeds directly supporting the next generation of blues talent.
In total, the effort raised an incredible $7,730 — every dollar going toward instruments, mentorship, and performance opportunities for the young musicians of Blues Ignition.
“This is what it’s all about — passing the music on,” said Haynes. “Programs like Blues Ignition keep the blues alive and evolving for the future.”
