Jimmy Wolf (Syracuse, NY)

Jimmy Wolf is an award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist who has brought a new and exciting energy to the world of Blues and Rock for the past 3+ decades. Jimmy takes the Delta-Chicago Blues, 50s Rock and R&B and mixes these genres with chainsaw guitar and over-driven vocals to create a unique, soulful musical experience.

Jimmy has performed as a solo guitarist and as a lead and back-up guitarist for many Blues bands since the 1990s. He has toured with many of the great names in Blues over the years, including Jimmy “Fast Fingers” Dawkins, Bill Doggett and Larry “Texas Flood” Davis. He has shared the stage with many Blues legends including Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Albert King, Albert Collins, Johnny Copeland, Millie Jackson and Little Johnny Taylor.

Jimmy lived in Memphis for several years and was a regular on Beale Street playing the clubs and Handy Park with bands, including Big T, Jimmy Ellis, Fred Saunders, Jerome Miller, Ringo Jukes, Harry Bridgewater, Big Jerry and Levi Williams. He has opened for Dickey Betts (founding member of The Allman Brothers Band), Blood, Sweat and Tears, The Ramones, Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson, and Mark Farner (Grand Funk).

Jimmy performs locally in New York and the surrounding region, and nationally with his band — The Jimmy Wolf Band. Jimmy has self-produced eight CDs since 1999 under his independent record label Red Reverend Records. His 2012 CD, “A Tribute to Little Johnny Taylor”(2012) received international acclaim and was nominated for “Best Blues Recording” at the 15th Annual Native American Music Awards in 2014.
