Mike “CottonToe” Scrivens has been playing his version of acoustic blues in and around Rochester, NY for over 6 years. He engages his audiences both young and old with his soulful voice, singing songs of those less fortunate as well as people whom he’s crossed paths with in his lifetime. Frank DeBlase (CITY Newspaper) has described his debut cd ‘Downtrodden Blues’ as “eight songs that were bluesy, yes, but with other elements of singer-songwriter and warm Americana denim, wood, and wire”.
